While YJLi are very much a rail-focused contractor, a number of our projects do not easily fall into a heading of ‘Network Rail’ or ‘London Underground’.
Amongst these schemes are several that show how our knowledge of both LUL and NR systems can successfully deliver a project for one company, but sited on the assets of another. Similarly, we have the ability to undertake projects for third parties that affect both NR and LUL assets. Examples would be the Paddington Information Booth and the Crossrail Surveys, for which there are data sheets within the Portfolio section of this site.
Other projects are essentially non-rail, but require a contractor with rail expertise for some aspect of the scheme. In this category would be the access road project at Stratford International station. Here, we are able to work with sister companies from the Renew Group to deliver good value solutions by combining the required rail expertise with economic land remediation, civils or specialist building works provided by those sister companies. The preconstruction work that we have done for Stanhope at Gunnersbury station would also fall into this category.
Finally, YJLi is also able to deliver other non-rail infrastructure schemes, such as footbridges, bus garages and car parks.
If you are planning a project that falls into one of these categories, you will find a few examples of our experience on this site and we’d welcome the chance to send you further examples of work completed by ourselves alone or together with one of our sister companies.
