YJLi have worked on over 600 projects for Network Rail and on Network Rail assets over the last 30 years. Our work includes projects across managed stations, franchised stations, depots (both directly for Network Rail and for TOCs and third party maintainers) and on lineside assets such as bridges, walkways, signal equipment cabins and the like.
YJLi are particularly good at undertaking complex projects working around operating stations, as was demonstrated by our Peak Hour Subway project at Waterloo Station. This scheme was shortlisted for the 2009 National Rail Awards, and a video showing the project can be sent on request.
We also have extensive experience of working on listed buildings, and another of our award winning projects was the external refurbishment of Norwich Thorpe station.
Recent new build and fit out schemes have included three station platforms for the SouthEastern high speed domestic services, and three seasonal fleet depots at Tonbridge, Broxbourne and Stowmarket.
Geographically, most of our work has been in the south and East Anglia, but being part of the Renew Group gives us the ability to deliver projects into South Wales and as far north as Yorkshire.
By value, our projects have ranged from minor works of less than £50,000 to several individual schemes of between £10 and £20m. The SRP project was a single programme of works valued at £151,000,000
Although most of our recently completed Network Rail schemes have been design and build, we are also keen to secure build only and early contractor involvement appointments.
Within the projects listed on this web site you will find a selection of schemes undertaken on Network Rail assets over the last few years. There is a downloadable data sheet for each one, and should you find one of particular interest, we would be pleased to send further details and references.
