This scheme picks up and completes the lengthy refurbishment of Notting Hill Gate station, and includes gateline and circulation improvements

YJLi have been asked to adopt and take responsibility for the employer's designs for this project, taking the scheme through the final stages of obtaining assurance approvals.

This scheme provides for the final stages of the modernisation of Notting Hill Gate station, and includes provision for congestion relief and significant enhancement of the ticket hall.

Back of house areas are being rearranged to make space for an enlarged gateline to deal with a significant congestion hotspot.

Throughout the station, finishes and services are being replaced with heritage details protected and restored.

The open nature of the Circle Line platforms means that noise is a significant issue with the many residential properties nearby, and noise screening is an important part of the works.

YJLi evaluated a number of innovative options such as the use of panel loudspeakers and new cladding systems, testing them for value and standards compliance.

As part of this scheme, YJLi have been granted self-assuring status.
