In our thirty years of continuous work on London Underground assets, YJLi have worked on every station and depot on the network. Our largest scheme of recent years was the £21m modernisation and step free projects at Morden Station. This scheme included piling on live platforms and use of a 1000T crane to install the bridges and lift towers over three weekend possessions.
We have completed a series of station modernisations such as Borough, Kennington and Tufnell Park with individual project values of over £10m each. Our current Marble Arch and Notting Hill Gate schemes exceed £10m as well.
Amongst our larger non-station schemes are the now completed Northumberland Park Depot and Points Heaters programmes at £12,000,000 each.
The company was pleased to receive an award for excellence in tiling from the Worshipful Company of Tylers and Bricklayers for our work at Borough Station.
Working in co-located teams with LUL staff on the Extended Arm contracts and the Northern Line SMEP have given us extensive insight into LUL requirements and our own internal processes have been designed to integrate well with those of LUL. Many of the schemes we have delivered have been true design and build, or a transfer of the responsibility for the client’s design to provide single point responsibility.
Within the projects listed on this web site you will find a selection of schemes undertaken on London Underground assets over the last few years. There is a downloadable data sheet for each one, and should you find one of particular interest, we would be pleased to send further details and references.
