Please find below a brief biography of each of our senior management team members.

Brian Shepherd - Managing Director

A Managing Director who likes to lead from the front, by an understanding of the detail behind each project and the effective deployment of the right staff. Brian has over 30 years experience in the construction industry with almost half of this in the rail sector. With safety and delivery driving all projects Brian has an excellent track record of successful project completion on both London Underground′s and Network Rail′s infrastructure. Brian is passionately committed to breaking down traditional barriers and challenging "old ways" of working in order to achieve improvements in performance, quality and safety.

Brian started his career as an indentured management trainee with Lovell Construction; he then spent 10 years with a regional contractor progressing through from Site Agent to Contracts Manager before rejoining Lovell Construction and progressing through to his current position as Managing Director.

Tony Rocke - Commercial Director

Tony has more than 30 years commercial and management experience within the construction industry with the last 8 years specialising in the rail sector. With experience gained across a wide variety of construction contract forms and alliances.

Tony′s focus remains on effective communication and delivery from first enquiry to final account. His non-confrontational approach to contracting ensures that he is widely respected by both our clients and supply chain.

 

Phil McCabe - Business Development Manager

Philip has 20 years experience within the M&E sector of the construction industry. Specialising in Fire Engineering he has worked on many Underground projects first as a Quantity Surveyor and later as Proposals Engineer. His technical background together with marketing soft skills make him outstanding in dealing with all aspects of the pre-construction process.

Philip′s enthusiasm for the rail industry and for his work have ensured that he has been successful in generating business from new clients whilst maintaining the trust of our existing customers. Contact with the clients well into the delivery phase have resulted in some firm and successful relationships.

 

Keith Morey - Safety Manager

A Safety Manager with over 10 years experience on a variety of railway projects, Keith has excellent organisational and interpersonal skills and a sound appreciation of the need to develop good communication and teamwork. He is adaptable, monitoring several projects at one time and has the ability to remain neutral when handling investigations and taking statements.

Moreover, he can work alone, or with teams to achieve results to meet targets and deadlines. Keith strives for "best practice" in safety on all projects through implementation of frequent site inspections, auditing/review of existing systems and the execution of new safety solutions where site conditions offer particular challenges.

Cam Lavin - Business Support Manager

Cam has successfully discharged a wide range of management, planning, design/M&E coordination and construction management roles since joining the company in 1973. His experience encompasses a wide range of construction and infrastructure schemes and his organisational skills and problem solving ability have led to him heading up many significant projects within the company.

The last 10 years have seen Cam in the Business Support role whereby our Safety, Quality, Environmental and other strategic accreditations are compiled, maintained and updated. The company wide YJLi Management system which is the repository for all company processes and procedures was written and is now maintained by Cam. These processes are what make our projects safe and our quality delivery achievable in a cost effective timely manner. This is reflected by the HSQE accreditations we have including our link-up categories and Full Network Rail Licensed Contractor status.
